NO CLUB NO COACHES NO TRIALS AND NO PLACES OFFERED
It seems that the recent decision by Nepean clubs to make an application to FNSW to participate in state run competitions has started a flurry of activity combined with rumours and fanciful stories.
The associaiton is already receiving requests for trial dates and there have been suggestions of Nepean Scouts attending games around the district to either recruit or poach players, depending on the storyteller.
At the present time, the associaiton has not even submitted an application to FNSW and a club has not been formed. It goes without saying then that there are no coaches, scouts, talent spotters or anyone else attempting to recruit any player anywhere within the district or beyond our boundaries.
If the application to FNSW is successful, there are very strict windows of opportunity to trial and recruit to fill the spots and the new club will be in the queue along with everyone else. Once again, IF the application is successful, details will be published on this web site in due course. Until such time, there is no-one that can answer questions or provide further information as there is no story to tell!

ST MARY'S BAND CLUB CELEBRATES 50 YEARS
Published 2June10 at 15:10pm
In 1960 two members of the St Mary’s District Band Club decided to get together a soccer team. They found enough boys interested, the oldest being 13 years of age, so one team was entered into the under 14 division with the Granville Federation. Every week this team would have to travel to the Granville, Auburn District to play. The closest game they played was against a Blacktown Club, at this stage there was no Nepean District Association.
Penrith Council granted permission to this newly formed team/club to use Victoria Park (across the road from the St Mary’s District Band Club) as their home ground. There were no goal posts at the park so this meant that goal posts were transported to Victoria Park, erected and dismantles before and after every home game. Even though this team of young boys did not win a game all season they put their heart and soul into every game they played. The shirts were 2 tones blue and all one size so that the shirts would fit anyone and everyone, on some of the small boys the shirts came down past their knees.
