Junior Presentation Day for U6 to U16 Teams

Venue: The Butterfly Farm, Putty Road, Wilberforce

Cost: Free - Entry to the Park will be covered by the club – just mention that you’re with Bligh Park Soccer Club to gain Free Entry. Any extra activities offered by the Park will be at users expense.

When: Saturday 20^th September 2008

Program:

· Arrive from 10am onwards and be greeted by clown & juggler

· Presentations commence 11.00am sharp

· Lunch will follow presentations.

· We suggest BYO Picnic Lunch, however, there will be limited Sausage Sandwich & Can of Drink Lunch packs on sale for $2 each, until sold out.

· After Lunch, there’ll be:

o Face Painters

o Novelty Races

o Games & Competitions

o Jumping Castle of U6 to U9’s

o Bungy Run for U10’s to U16’s

· You’re welcome to stay as long as you’d like after the presentation to enjoy the activities and catch up with your team for one last time before we break for summer

The End of Season Dinner incorporates the Senior Presentation Night and is open to the above senior teams as well as Coaches, Managers, Committee Members, club supporters and parents of Junior Players. Dinner Details are as follows:

END OF SEASON DINNER/SENIOR PRESENTATION NIGHT

· Venue: Hawkesbury Race Club – Clarendon

· When: Saturday 13^th September 2008 commencing at 7pm sharp

· Cost: Players, Senior Team Coaches, Managers & Officials $45 per person & Guests $55 per person

· Cost includes:

o Gourmet 2 course meal

o Entertainment

o 2 Free Drink vouchers per person

SPECIAL NOTES

· Bookings and payment must be received by 31^st Aug. 2008. Bookings & payments cannot be accepted after this date.

· Bookings and payments will be accepted at the canteen each Saturday & Sunday up to & including the 31^st Aug 08.

· Payment can be made by cash, cheque, credit card. EFTPOS facilities are available at the canteen.

· Sorry, no bookings can be accepted without payment.

· If you require a vegetarian menu, please ask to have this noted on your receipt.

PLAYERS AGED UNDER 18

· Players aged U18 should attend with a parent or guardian. If parents are not able to attend, supervision arrangements must be made with another adult from your child’s team prior to booking.

There was an important change made to the club constitution at the meeting. Since the formation of the club, it has been the practice to bestow life membership on persons who have completed 10 years continuous service to the club in some form. Whilst there is definitely a time and place to honour long service in any form, it has blurred the reasons for bestowing life membership on persons who have made an outstanding contribution to the club. In most organizations, life membership is only awarded to persons who have provided a service to the club over and beyond what might be expected of someone in a particular position.

The meeting acknowledged endorsed the proposed change and this will be effective in 2008. Players, managers, coaches and committee members who have given 10 years unbroken service will receive a long service award, but in the future a life membership will be awarded only on the rare occasions that the club receives a nomination that is deemed suitable by the members.
