FRIDAY SKILLS NIGHTS

Due to popular demand, the Friday Skills Nights start again this month of May at Bounty Cresent.

The skills nights a designed to assist our junior players develop additional skills under some of our senior coaches.

The skills nights are open to both Boys & Girls, and for age groups from U/6s to U/15s.

Details are (Weather Pending),

23rd May at 6-7pm - U/6-8yrs & 7.15-8.15pm U/9 and above

13th June at 6-7pm - U/6-8yrs & 7.15-8.15pm U/9 and above

All players should arrive 10mins before their session, and should bring a drink and appropriate playing equipment soccer boots, shin pads etc.

News From The Annual General Meeting

The club’s annual general meeting took place at Windsor RSL this evening, and as the rain trickled down the windows, the retiring committee took its leave, and those present welcomed in a new committee to guide the club through 2008.

There was an important change made to the club constitution at the meeting. Since the formation of the club, it has been the practice to bestow life membership on persons who have completed 10 years continuous service to the club in some form. Whilst there is definitely a time and place to honour long service in any form, it has blurred the reasons for bestowing life membership on persons who have made an outstanding contribution to the club. In most organizations, life membership is only awarded to persons who have provided a service to the club over and beyond what might be expected of someone in a particular position.

The meeting acknowledged endorsed the proposed change and this will be effective in 2008. Players, managers, coaches and committee members who have given 10 years unbroken service will receive a long service award, but in the future a life membership will be awarded only on the rare occasions that the club receives a nomination that is deemed suitable by the members.
