FIXTURE ALTERATION NOTICES

Fixture Alteration Notices (formerly known as Green Pages) are normally issued on Wednesday evenings or more frequently during inclement weather. They are sent directly to club Competition Secretaries, and are also published here on our webpage. They are identified by the date they are issued and if multiple pages are issued in one day, with a further letter extension identifier. In the event of last minute emergencies, changes may not appear here, but may be communicated directly to club competition secretaries to convey to teams.  To view a F.A.N. click on the link to the relevant date.

WHAT IS AN M.P.I.O. ?

An M.P.I.O. is a Member Protection Information Officer. Every Club and Association must have one. If you don't know who your club MPIO is, ask a committee member to identify him or her to you.

At Association level, the MPIO's are Linda Cerone & Jenny Gosling, who can both be contacted during business hours at the N.D.S.F.A. Office, but generally, if you have an inquiry, your first port of call should be your club.

KNOW THE RULES - PLAYING OUTSIDE THE AGE GROUP

There have been a number of inquiries lately in relation to players being allowed to play out of their age group. Our governing body is the author of the current rule that covers this area. No junior player up to the age of 15 shall be permitted to play more than two years above the player’s age group. Therefore, a player who is turning 12 in 2009 may register to play in under 12,13,14. As long as this is adhered to, players are covered by the standard insurance policy that we play under.

 This rule covers the limitations being applied. However, no club is obliged to grant permission for a player to play out of their actual age group. Many representative teams have policies that only allow players to play for the age group they will be in the playing year. Many associations do not allow players who are still eligible for SSG, to play in an age group that plays the full game.

 In Nepean district, the Nepean Cup has fairly strict rules that cover this subject too. Each club is entitled to make its own policies to suit the needs of the club. Once registered in an age group, the entitlement to play in it, is only valid for the current season. If circumstances change at a club, or there is a policy shift, what occurs in one year does not carry over to the following year.

2009 SEASON NEWS UPDATE - APRIL

 Competitions

Season 2009 will kick off March 21 & 22
Season 2009 will conclude with finals at Jamison Park.
Pennant finals - junior only will be August 22nd
Grand Top 4 finals will be held 29th 7 30th august 2009 for juniors and seniors.
